Józefa Ledwig

Józefa Ledwig – Bęben (born April 18th 1935 in Szerzyny) − Polish volleyball player, two-time bronze medallist of the Olympic Games.

She was 174 cm tall. She usually played as an attacker. For 20 years (1952−1972) she played in Wisła Kraków. With the team she won the Championship of Poland three times (1967, 1969, 1970). She played for the national team 216 times (starting from 1959). She played twice in the Olympic Games (Tokyo 1964 and Mexico City 1968), in both cases winning a bronze medal. In the national team she also won bronze of the World Championship (1962) and two silver medals of the European Championship (1963 and 1967).
